North Carolina Baby

Hello all,

I am currently in North Carolina working my tail off. It is my Birthday and so I thought it was a good time to give an update.

Ok, so the other night I was driving back to my hotel and I decided to try this food chain called Bojangles, and let me tell you, it was really good. HOWEVER, very very greasy. Grease or oil or whatever it was, was dripping off of the chicken while I was eating it. Uh hmmm...made me a little sick. I guess it is a common food chain out here because I see it at almost every highway exit.

The other thing is that they just LOVE biscuits here. At every college fair I have the morning, they have spread of different types of biscuits with either ham or sausage. Yummy.

Today I drove through Charlotte and it was absolutely beautiful. The houses were amazing and put some of our historic districts to shame. I took some pictures as I was driving through neighborhoods and probably looked like a stalker in my car. I will upload them when I get back...I forgot to bring the cord thingy to do so.

I also stopped at an Indian restaurant while I was there by the name of Situl. It was quite good and tasted more like home cooked Indian food. The owners were from Nepal and so I had good chat with them. Yes, I know Indian food in North Carolina?? What is wrong with me, I should be eating some good barbecue. I just had a craving for something from home.

That is it for now. I am going to get dressed and go down to the lobby for dinner. They look to have a good steak restaurant. Why not? It is my Birthday.

Next week I am off to Nevada.

Hi Shoshauna!

Theresa Wisner here. I was looking up Devdar Woods and found your blog. I hope you are well. Things are great here. We're still living in Oregon - we bought 8 acres East of Newport about 5 years ago. It's very peaceful. We have a devdar tree here that was planted before we bought it, and we found it after we moved here!
Dick is working for U of Hawaii, and will be home Dec 21st.

Preya is working toward being an ob/gyn oncologist. Whew! Years of school and still more to go.
Nick is living in Eugene, working at a sportsbar and taking classes at the University.
