Today we went ahead and bought a Magellan GPS system for my travels. It is absolutely amazing! We used it on the way home from the store and it worked amazingly. We tried to trick it once or twice by not taking the suggested route, but it caught on and readjusted the directions. I know that this is not new technology or anything....but for me, on my trips, it is going to be a lifesaver.Yippee......I want to go drive around.

Well if you check out the website you can buy packages for other countries. However, for some reason I don't think VN will be on that list :)
Viet Nam would be like Highway 1 and a few other left and right turns!
Yesterday I went to the most amazing far off place and we had to walk a MILE off the road to the orphanage on mud as slick as ice and then were taken by motorbikes on thick gravel *nothing safe about it* ... I would LOVE to have one of these toys though!

I absolutely love it. I have been using it for the last two days to get used to it and it is SO worth it. I can't believe I have lived without one for so long.
It really makes driving to unknown places *easy*. Even if you know where you are going, it has a function to look up nearby stuff (restaurants, banks, gas station, etc). It is totally worth it!
