So I am officially on the road. Granted, I have not left the state yet, but I am away from my family and slowly becoming what admission folks call a "road warrior."
I travelling the western slope doing college fairs. All is going well, except for the rock in the windshield causing a ding and the nail I found this morning lodged in the tire! Seriously, I think the car is cursed. I am dealing with insurance for the ding in the windshield....I am covered by the State and because of this the process is quite lengthy. Although only a ding, you basically have to go through the same procedures as you would have to if you were in an accident.
In regards to the nail- I was sitting at a gas station this morning in Breckenridge, in tears, because the pressure was going down in my right tire and I had only two hours to make it to Granby for a fair. Ok, so maybe I overreacted a little, but after the rock incident and being on such a tight time schedule, I was just not ready to deal with another issue. After asking an older man (while crying) what I should do, I went ahead and drove to Granby. In Granby, after the fair, I found a tire place that fixed the problem.
All this may seem easy to you, but you have to understand, I am NOT used to dealing with these things. It has been a learning experience. I am having fun. The college fairs are fun. It a little tiring, but all in all exciting.
I get back home on Friday and then leave for North Carolina on Sunday. Busy busy.

I just got one of the those stones in my windshield- and so did my daughter- what is going on???
So glad to hear you are okay as far as the tire goes-- that can be soo frustrating!!
Glad you made it okay Sho! I saw a hit from North Carolina--must be you! I guess we'll be celebrating your b'day in a few days...but I'll be thinking about you tomorrow:)
